About The Magnificat Cafe

Chef Benoit  was born and raised in the suburbs of Paris, France.  He had always dreamed of  becoming a chef.  At the age of 14 he entered The Culinary Art School of Bordeaux in Bordeaux, France for his education and training in the culinary arts that he continued there through college.

Having a Jacques Cousteau spirit for adventure and excitement, Chef Benoit came to the United States through a bridge program to work as a waiter for Anthony's, a 5 star restaurant in St Louis, Missouri.   Many years and many experiences later, which included work at the French Pavilion in Epcot and  General Manager and Head Chef of JJs Bistro at Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, Chef Benoit opened his own restaurant, The Magnificat Cafe.  Now father of four, he lives in Jacksonville, FL with his wife and youngest son.

Chef Benoit's passion for food is evident in his tasty creations  and  specials that he wishes to share with each and every guest who passes through the door. Lunch could not be any better! Bon-appetit!
